Why George Yeo Should Not Be President

Subject: George Yeo will not and cannot be independent

To elect George Yeo as President is the same as electing another pap guy
into the position. George Yeo is still on the CEC of the pap. George Yeo is
bascially still very much part and parcel of the pap.

The danger of having another pap man as President is clear. He will be under
the control of the pap government. So the whole purpose of the elected
President is defeated as it has been all this years.

We must take the opportunity to change things in a big way. To elect George
Yeo is to continue to do things as usual. This is not wise. Singaporeans
have awakened and to elect George Yeo is to go backward. Pls don't go
forward one step and then backward 2 steps.

If Singaporeans elect George Yeo as President it will signal to the pap
government that u r satisify with what they are doing. So they will slow
down and may not even carry forward what they promise u. They may even stop
accomodating your wishes and then we are back to the ways of the old days.
Pls Singaporeans don't do such silly things. U have just gain some traction
over the pap leegime and now u wanna give it back ??????

George Yeo had been an outstanding Foreign Minister since
Rajaratnam. He was well respected by the leaders of ASEAN
and the Western world...and the international media. In international
affairs, Singapore was able to punch way above her size (as a
tiny red dot,) because of him.

In comparison, Nathan has done NOTHING to enhance the image
of Singapore. He is head and shoulder above Nathan, Tan Cheng
Bock and the other candidates...(unless LKY decide to stand for
the president.)

If George Yeo can detach himself from PAP, and rise above petty
politics, he will make a very good president.
