This cpf minimum sum is nothing more than the papist leegime shirking their
responsibilities to older Singaporeans. Simple as that. The papist leegime
is so afraid that older Singaporeans will impose a heavy burden on them. So
they take this pre-emptive strike by locking up the forced savings of
Singaporeans. This is very cruel. In their old age, Singaporeans rely even
more on their savings to meet unexpected expenditure. By locking their
forced savings away the papist leegime has caused some unnecessary
difficulties to older Singaporeans caught in a nasty situation not of their
making. For e.g. to meet medical expenses. So u find a situation when
Singaporeans have over $100,000 sitting in the cpf while they have to borrow
$10,000 from loan sharks to meet urgent and unforseen expenditure.
By their actions and short-sightedness the papist leegime is creating
problems not only for Singaporeans but also problems for themselves. The
loan shark is a major problem in Singapore. This problem consumes huge
amount of police resources. It also put Singaporeans thru unnecessary stress
and duress. These Singaporeans will seek out the help of their mps in other
ways.
The country is rich and can affort to give a much better deal to its' senoir
citizens.
