His quiet time has given the right answers for him. It's good for him.
He made the right decison not to contest.
If he had contested, he might have lost in the contest. This was
because according to grapevines, most people said he was a pap man and
that he will not be impartial.
For example, they said that, a dog who worked and fed by his master
will 100% likely to obey and listen to the master even if he is a dog
to another master. At worse, the dog has o give respect to the master.
He will not bark and bite the former master who fed him with good food
and comforts.
Additonally, in the past when he was the pap minister, he was just a
yeas man. In addition it was said he said to the public about
Singaporean people are "no big and no small" - being disrespectful to
them, - ministers, and elites?,
Addtionally he had said how the people do not know how high is the sky
and how thick is the depth of the earth, -which means people is
disrespectful to them.
Also in other grapevines had said he was not liked by ex-MM and his
son PM. This is because they are "jealous" of him of being that he was
"good looking" without "cluttered" teeth.
In addtion of that, he also speaks better than them with wisdom of
words, and he often words thoughtfully and thought-through constructed
worded before uttering of them.
By not contesting in the presidential race, the grapevines said he
makes a good candidate calibre to replace the PM. They said he should
join the opposition to bring dignity back to Singaporeans
He mad the right decision not to contest as the job might briig filure
not because he is not good but because he might "clash" with the PM.
Only Nathan can endure the top because he pretended othing is
happening and that he closes one eye on them while the other eye is
looking at the 4 million annual salary pmping in every monthly pay
day.
His quiet time had paid off his undecided dilemna. It good for him. By
grace, there is a better plan and future installed for him and in
him.

Sey Simoni....
The 14 year old girl, not only lost her legs...she lost much more.
Her whole future is bleak...who will marry her...feed her, take care
of her for the rest of her life?
If only SMRT had install the safety barrier earlier...she could have
a happy life with children, she could work like normal people...
earn income ...feed and take care of herself.
SMRT is liable ...has to compensate her for her losses.

Yes, be fair to the Malaysian immigration officers. They are only human when
confronted by these so beautiful women from Singapore. Their dicks took
command of their brain cells and therefore they succumbed to only satisfying
their eyes only. Fortunately they did not get on to climbing all over those
females. The Immigration Director is well aware of the temptation
confronting his men and therefore ask the public to be fair with them. In
such circumstances he would have behaved worst. Should any of his more
pretty relatives especially his daughters be seen visiting any country and
managed to tempt the Immigration Officers of any countries they visit, he
will be most understanding if they are subjected to any Immigration
Officer's falling prey to any temptation to have a good look at them naked
doing some squats followed by some wriggling to ensure a good show of their
breasts perform a rhythmic movement equivalent to that if not more of any of
Mozart's symphonic movements. Shabas Immigration director.

The malaysian immigration director said this 'be fair to
us'....wowww...normally we see this sort of comment coming from these
quarrelsome islamic bugger...
Why can't he say this.....we will investigate the truth of the matter
and to the bottom of it....thos officers who sleep on their job will
be dealt with accordingly....i think this statement sound better than
saying 'be fair to us'!!!!
What to do!!!!!....when you deal with quarrelsome people...their words
oso likely to sound quarrelsome...
Halo.....who is suppresssing you....who is cornering you? ...to
warrant you to say that it got to be fair to you?
You immigration buggers are the troublemakers....not we ordinary
people who just want to cross over your side to have a decent supper

It is people like you that he is appealing to! You condemn the
immigration for sleeping on the job. But is it true? We have not heard
from the two ladies what they did at the check point. Did they enter the
unmanned lane? Did they look for another immigration booth when the
booth was unmanned? Did they deliberately enter an unmanned booth but
was caught on their return?
To push the argument further, were they engaged in suspicious
nefarious activity and that is why they were asked to strip? There are a
host of unknowns. Be fair to the Malaysians and let them investigate.
To me the two women activity is suspicious enough to warrant a thorough
search.

These 2 gals must thanks god for the malay officer didn't gang rape
them, there's too much story about the malay officer try to accuse the
gals and then bring them to a room and gang rape them, 'malay boleh'.
Malay enforcement officer always roaming around the industrial area in
JB, Selangor and Penang and search for their pray ..... the foreign
female workers ...... and then accuse them for not holding a valid
working permit and force them to enter the enforcement patrol vehicle,
then bring them to the palm estate and gang rape them ........ is a
HALAL act even though the 'hole' is non-Halal ...

Whatever the circumstances, there is no acceptable reasons for any lane to
be left unmanned. The man in charge of the Immigration office on that day
should be sacked.
I am of the honest opinion, the station was left open purposely to nab
unsuspecting people coming into the country. In the past many unsuspecting
visitors to Malaysia have passed through the Immigration in Johore Bahru
with the Officers manning the station not chopping their visitors' passport
and many have had to pay the tidy sum demanded when they exit the country.
It is hard to believe that this was not purposely done. The director of
Immigration in his call for fairness in our judgement of his personnel just
displays his absolute incompetence I am of the view. If a station is
unmanned why was it left open? The man in chargte for the day should be
sacked for not doing his job.

What is frightening is the fact a whole whose of undesirables may have just
entered the country at JB because the security arrangements at the
Immigration Department has been extremely poor. The director of Immigration
must be made accountable for this lack of security. He should be stripped
naked and made to squat forty times and after that left in a cell of
homosexuals and have his arse loosen and then have him clean up all the shit
and smell the aroma of all the shit and corruption after which be thrown a
garment that has not been washed for some time. He should be detained for
ten hours and questioned and be intimidated with having to pay fine of a
couple of thousand ringgit without receipt. he will then be said to have
graduated into an extremely compassionate person.
The Idiot did not do his job and has the temerity to ask for fairness. No
small wonder this country is flooded with so many illegal immigrants. Of
course he will have the illusion of believing that there are no illegal
immigrants in the country.

Holy shit. there is no acceptable reasons to leave the booth open when there
is no one to man the post. The man in charge of the station is just not
doing his job. He should be sacked.
A friend of mine one day took a train from Singapore to Malaysia. At the
Station in Singapore, the Malaysian immigration officer just had a look at
his passport, said hi and return his passport without chopping it and he was
busy replying to his friendly chatter and did not notice he did not chop his
passport. When he return to Singapore a few days later, he was told his
passport was not endorsed and he is therefore guilty of entering the country
illegally and will be subjected to face proceedings in court where a hefty
fine will be imposed. He rang me up and I asked him whether there was any
suggestion by the officer on how to settle this matter. he said the officer
asked him whether he knows the Agong and would show him any pictures of the
Agong. I said to him " just pay up" and he did and his passport was chopped
with the entry chop back dated followed by another chop for going out that
day. the Immigration Office at JB is not manned by a group of angels believe
you me. Even Lucifer will tend to keep out of their grasp. Do you honestly
think the Director of Immigration is that naive? Try doing an audit check of
his wealth and he will automatically start shitting bricks even before he is
asked to account for his wealth.
the Malaysian government has too many wankers in every department and you
Holy shit can continue doing some wanking job but do make sure you get
adequately paid for your trouble.

Singapore is set to become a new 'naval base' for the US

Singapore is set to become a new 'naval base' for the US marine, like
Okinawa ?
US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has said the US military had plans
to deploy littoral combat ships to Singapore. With this deployment,
Singapore effectively become a new naval base for the US marine.
Just like the naval bases in Okinawa and Seoul, once in the US will
NEVER get out. In Okinawa and in Soul,
virgins and school girls have be raped and molested regularly by the
US marines...and Japan and S Korean could do NOTHING about it.
Do we want our girls to be raped ?
Shouldn't such an important decision, agreeing to allow Singapore to
become a Neo-US 'colony' of the USA, be discuss and debate in
Parliament ?

Yes, LKY likes to play a balance of power game between China & the
US. But I think LKY is sensitive to the opinions of China, Malaysia &
Indonesia on any hosting of a US fleet by Singapore -- after all, the
Straits of Malacca is a choke point. So I think the US is now trying
to creep in slowly, starting with small, littoral combat ships.

RIP Mr Tan, your tormentors will face justice one day either here on in the
afterlife.
It is not too late
I have known Tan Jing Quee since the 1970s. He was a successful, friendly
and humble lawyer then. I didn t know his past political history and
imprisonment under the ISA. He and his friends used to meet up with my
employer, G Raman and I was occasio...nally invited to have coffee with
them. I enjoyed their company because their conversations were always
interesting and stimulating. They never spoke of revolutions to overthrow
the PAP government. Singapore in the 70s was a very safe and peaceful
country. There was no violence, mobs or demonstrations. As a young lawyer,
I used to walk from North Canal Road to the Supreme Court and the
Subordinate Courts by the Singapore River without encountering any incident
along the way. Thus in 1977 when G Raman was arrested and after him, Jing
Quee, R Joethy and Ong Bock Chuan (all lawyers) and several well known
journalists and professionals were also arrested under the ISA, I was
stunned. They were accused of being Euro-Communists and pages of The
Straits Times were splashed with news of clandestine activities that they
were alleged to be involved in. I didn t believe the horrendous stories spun
by the PAP government against them. But I could not disprove anything except
that I could vouch that they were and are good people. As a legal
assistant to G Raman, I continued to attend matters in court. The entire
legal profession was silent. No lawyer ever asked me about the arrests.
Everyone went about their business as if nothing had happened. The Law
Society did not issue any statement concerning the arrests, even though four
of those imprisoned were lawyers. That was the climate then. Fear permeated
the entire society. I think a certain section of the population also
assumed that the government was right to carry out the arrests and it was
best to leave national security to them. Jing Quee was released several
months after but not before he was severely tortured and humiliated. Thirty
years later, he was able to put his painful experience in words. He wrote in
his poem, ISA Detainee : How could I ever forget those Neanderthals
Who roamed Whitley Holding Centre*, Under cover of darkness, Poured
buckets of ice water Over my stripped, shivering nakedness, Slugged
my struggling, painful agony Circling , sneering, snarling Over my
freezing nudity, More animals than men: What induced this
Vengeful venom, violent score To settle, not for a private grievance
But a public, democratic dissidence; From whence sprang this barbarity?
What made men turn into beasts In the dark, away from prying eyes,
Protected by a code of dishonour and lies To ensure they survive and
rise. I think it was in 1986 (at a time when the Law Society had become
more active in commenting on unjust legislation), that Jing Quee visited me
in my office in Geylang. I remember him asking me why I had set up my law
practice in Geylang instead of being in the city. He warned that I was
attracting unnecessary attention and that I may get into trouble. I replied
that everything that I did or had done was in the open and that my life was
an open book. I brushed away his concern, telling him that since I was
acting openly, no trouble would come to me. He retorted We didn t do
anything wrong too but we were arrested . Jing Quee s words puzzled me
for a while. But I soon forgot about his warning. I was confident that I
had done nothing wrong and that no trouble would ever come to me. I didn t
even put a thought to the ISA. I didn t even bother to check out the Act.
The Act was meant for terrorists and I was not one. So why should I bother
about the ISA? Sadly, I had forgotten about the arrests of Jing Quee and
his friends in 1977. The trauma suffered by them and their families had been
forgotten. My memory of those harrowing days had been erased. And so it
happened, the warning of Jing Quee became a reality a few months later. I
was arrested under the ISA together with many of my innocent friends in May
1987. Jing Quee has passed on to a better place. But he has recorded his
sufferings in his poem. The ISD and government officers who were responsible
for his sufferings have not come clean. They have not apologised to him
before his passing. It is not too late that they do so now, to his widow,
Rose, his children and his siblings. *A relatively new detention
center built in the 1970s located off Whitley Road, used to hold
political prisoners for short and medium term, mainly for interrogation .See
